LILACS database

Português What is LILACS? LILACS database (Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde) is produced by Centro Latino-Americano e do Caribe de Informação em Ciências da Saúde and is co-ordinated by Bireme. It contains bibliographic references of heath publications from Latin America and Caribbean countries since 1982. It includes 605 health journals, with more than 290 thousand references. Access to LILACS: The access may be done through LILACS/CD-ROM or online, via Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde. How to use LILACS: - Language of search   - for title or abstract words, use English, Portuguese or Spanish   - for mesh terms or specific medical terms use preferably Portuguese - Use the symbol $ for searching words with the same prefix.
